Doug swatts
I have had the pleasure of knowing Doug for a few years now. He is most definitely one of my favorite people to see at the shows and I am always guaranteed to have a lot of laughs! He is also one of the kindest souls I have met. I don't want to steal his spotlight from his feature so I'll let him do the rest!
Who are you and where are you from?
I am the one and only Dougie Fresh aka, 42_dougg on Instagram. I'm Memphis, TN born and raised!
What do you do for work?
I'm a fleet mechanic by day and a SlammedEnuff DJ/Drifter on the weekends!
How long have you been driving/been in cars?
I've only been drifting for about 9 months, but been into cars since I was young. I've wanted to be a mechanic since age 12 and have succeeded pretty well in making that dream come true.
What has been your favorite event/track?
My favorite event, far and away has been driving to the Drift Mansion at Little Talladega. It's a great jewel of a track tucked away in rural Missouri, with a vacation rental mansion on site. The staff were great and the guys from Grip Royal, and the on sire staff, organize a fantastic event!
what's been your favorite build?
My favorite build was my 2014 Sierra that I built back in 2019. It had a 7" coilover lift, 35's on 20's, rock lights and 2 12's under the seat. Unfortunately, I had to sell it during the pandemic.
What's next for you?
What's next? I'm not totally sure, I just ride the waves life gives me. Eventually I'm going to build my own drift car and transition from hired driver to owner driver. Also, HUGE thanks and a big shoutout to Charlan Buenaventura (SlammedEnuff) for letting me drive his cars and learning how to drift!
